Diorama Update

I continue adding shape to the carved foam using plaster cloth.
Notice that I introduce a dead horse by Verlinden while I added the plaster. I think that shaping the terrain around it, will make it look like it has "dead weight" on the surface.

Tamiya vs Verlinden vs Dragon models

I'm very impress with the quality of the Dragon Models (grey).
They are factory injected and mass produced, but they still hold the detail compare to the Verlinden resin models (Yellow).
Dragon put a lot of detail on how to separate the pieces to minimize the gaps.
The Tamiya (green) that came with the Sherman tank looks like a kid toy compare to the others.

Now is time to fill the gaps with plastic putty and get them ready for painting.

Tamiya M4A3 Sherman

First olive drab layer applied using a home made spray booth.
From here I will be adding darker color for the shadow areas and lighter colors for the highlights.

Paint Head

I did this head a couple of years ago.
I sculpted the hair and body in order to make it look like Luke from GI-JOE.
