Yashica Electro 35

I'm a big fan of the Yashica cameras. I own an Electro 35 GSN (rangefinder 35mm) and a Mat 124G TLR (120mm medium format).
They are simple and affordable, the best way to be introduced into film without going broke.
Do some research on the web and you will find a lot of info and experienced people that still use and service these cameras.

Here are some pictures taken with the Electro 35 (Ilford Super XP2 B/W film)
No digital retouch has been add it to these pictures.

Miroslav Tichý Story

When I first read about Miroslav Tichý story, I was amaze to see an artist that did not care to get caught on the latest gear or technology, but only his art, the art of taking photos.
Miroslav was a street photographer that took close to a hundred photos a day from people (mostly women) around his home town.
He lived under very poor conditions creating his cameras from scrap and developing the negatives on a bucket.
In 2004 Roman Buxbaum created a short documentary about Miroslav where they spend some time going through his dusty photographs while interview him.
The Documentary was very poorly done with a very little insight on his past and present life.
Here are some images of Miroslav cameras, photographs and a link to the documentary.
